All paid district employees MUST complete annual training in the following topics:
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Training
- Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct Training
Additionally, employees who regularly use disinfectant wipes MUST complete:
- Integrated Pest Management
Mandated Reporter Training:
Assembly Bill (AB) 1432 requires all district employees to complete a mandated reporter training within the first six (6) weeks of every school year. New hires must complete the training within six (6) weeks of their starting date.
Bloodborne Pathogens Training:
Per Cal/OSHA Standards, all district employees must complete a bloodborne pathogens training once every year.
Sexual Harassment Training:
Senate Bill (SB) 1343 requires all employees to complete a sexual harassment training every two years.
Integrated Pest Management Training:
The California State Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) annually requires all educational staff using disinfecting wipes and employees who apply or are exposed to pesticides during the course of work to participate in training to learn about the safe use of pesticides around children.
